Minister: Russia’s power consumption rises by 0.4% Jan 1–Wed

TYUMEN, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s power consumption rose by 0.4% on the year from January 1 through Wednesday, Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said on Friday without providing absolute figures.

“Power consumption has grown by 0.4% since the beginning of the year, I mean from January 1 through April 12,” he said.

In February, Shulginov said that the ministry expected Russia’s power consumption to continue rising in 2023. The country’s combined power consumption grew by 1.5% in 2022.
